1989 - Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The Château de Beaucastel vineyard, owned by the Perrin family, covers 100 hectares, three quarters of which is given over to the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Its terroir with its rounded pebbles on the surface, underlain by sand, clay and limestone, is emblematic of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The estate is also one of the only businesses to vinify all 13 grape varieties authorised by the appellation, grown according to organic farming methods for fifty years , thus giving these wines their signature purity of flavour and perfect expression of the terroir’s characteristics.
