Angelo Gaja, one of the leading Italian wine producers, has expertly revealed the full subtlety and finesse of the Nebbiolo grape variety, producing wines of the very highest quality by pioneering new techniques of vinification and ageing: choice of the best vineyards, lower yields, ageing in new oak barrels… Today, he manages close on 100 hectares of vineyards with his best Barbaresco plots now producing the vast majority of Italy’s greatest wines (Sori Tildin, Sori San Lorenzo and Costa Russi). 

In his Ca Marcanda vineyard, at Bolgheri in Tuscany, he produces Magari a superb full-bodied cuvée with spicy aromas. 

The Barbaresco cuvées are complex wines with an elegant finish. They offer supple, well-balanced tannins with a nose redolent of forest fruits with a hint of leather. The Barolo wines are the firm's flagship cuvées, just as sumptuous as the Barbaresco, but with the added touch of a slight floral note.
