2007 - Charriage Moulin des Costes

This sophisticated and highly suBouteillele cuvée, wonderfully concentrated and perfectly aged embodies the intensity of Mourvèdre, the region’s leading grape variety. As a tribute to a unique soil - where the oldest terrains now overlie more recent ones due to the interplay of subhorizontal faults - the Bunan Estate has created this excellent wine, made by selecting grapes from certain plots that are practically 100% Mourvèdre. The wine has a deep, intense colour, with a burst-in-the-mouth explosion of red fruits, and lingering notes of chocolate and moka. An opulent, silky wine with excellent ageing potential.
