Established in 2011, the Domaine de Baravéou is located between La Cadière-d'Azur and Le Castellet. Jean-Philippe Fourney cultivates its 4 ha of vineyards according to natural techniques with no chemical input. After many years spent managing the vineyards at the Château Vannières, the Domaine La Suffrene and now the Domaine Tempier, Jean-Philippe Fourney has set himself an absolutely astounding megaproject: to clear and restructure 3 hectares of ancient terraces in La Cadière-d'Azur in order to plant vines taken solely from massal selections and cultivate them according to biodynamic practices. This new approach to producing red wines made predominantly with Mourvèdre is particularly impressive and bodes well for the production of excellent red wines with great cellaring potential: already velvety and full-bodied, the wines are already proving to be charming and of remarkable quality.
